ABOUT US

The Gambia Society (GS) is working to get a UK based registered charity number. We are yet to register as a charitable organisation in UK, however necessary preparations are in full gear to attain the status. The idea behind the formation of a society such as the GS was conceived, in 2010, by a group of Gambians and non Gambian alike to foster and create unity amongst Gambians and non-Gambians of West African origin living in UK.

The intention is to offer support and advice to its members in time of need. Sametime, it was felt necessary that the society would promote a better community relation between our members and other bodies operating within our local community (our host)

Since its formation, membership is on increase consisting of males and females. Our membership is open to everyone Gambians and non-Gambians of West African origin alike regardless of ethnicity, religion or language. We lookforward to anyone who want to promote the spirit of objectivity and cohesiveness.
